REGULATORY FRAMEWORK
In 2015, Law 27,191 was passed, which promotes renewable energies and establishes that all users must supply part of their demand with electricity from clean sources.
Large users (industrial customers) have the option to self-generate that renewable energy or be provided through a purchase-sale contract with a renewable energy generator. As of 2018 they must cover 8% of their electricity consumption with renewable energy, and they should increase it gradually until they reach 20% in 2025.
CHOOSING SUSTAINABLE ENERGY IS GOOD BUSINESS
Eolic energy represents a safe source of energy, which produces no emissions into the atmosphere nor waste, while saving fuel and reducing costs.
It also contributes to the diversification of the energy matrix and the mitigation of climate change.
Due to these characteristics and the competitive prices of renewable energy, some of our customers are choosing us to provide 100% of their energy demand through long-term contracts.
